Be diligent to know the state of your flocks, And attend to your herds; For riches are not forever, Nor does a crown endure to all generations. When the hay is removed, and the tender grass shows itself, and the herds of the mountains are gathered in, The lambs will provide your clothing, And the goats the price of a field; You shall have enough goat's milk for your food, For the food of your household, And the nourishment of your maidservants. Prov. 27:23-27

Home-made Goat Milk Soap!

Lately we have been trying our hand at making soap out of goat's milk. We made a batch a while ago but we weren't sure if they were quite right and the shape is not very good but they do work. Last night we made a new/better batch. These ones turned out better and the shape is better but they still have to sit for 4-6 weeks to cure. Our next batch will be with scent.

This is what the new bars look like:
I know there kind of smudged up in places but thats just from hand cutting them.
This is what the whole thing looked like before we cut it into squares:
Any orders? :)
