Be diligent to know the state of your flocks, And attend to your herds; For riches are not forever, Nor does a crown endure to all generations. When the hay is removed, and the tender grass shows itself, and the herds of the mountains are gathered in, The lambs will provide your clothing, And the goats the price of a field; You shall have enough goat's milk for your food, For the food of your household, And the nourishment of your maidservants. Prov. 27:23-27

Name The Kid!!

I know everybody wants pictures of my Mom and Dad but I'm going to do this first.

This kid was born about two and a half weeks ago and and looks just like a little calf, so right now we call her our Holstein kid but she needs a better name....so get out the name books! Anybody who looks at my blog has to leave at least one name suggestion and then I will pick the one I like best. To suggest a name you can either leave a comment or email me at: goatchick03@hotmail.com
I'm going to pick on Thursday around noon so you have to do it before then. I will post on Thursday afternoon which one I pick. Have fun!!!

My first choice is Chloe. My second choice is Wannabe and my third choice is Vaca Como (which of course means cow-like in Spanish) but ends up being kind of a long name. Having said all that, I'm willing to bet that the name that goat is going to get no matter WHAT you choose is "the Holstein kid".
